Flyway Film Festival | October 19-21, 2016
Alma, Wisconsin was proud to host the Flyway Film Festival, which has attracted national attention over the years. People came wide and far to enjoy an eclectic assortment of movies in fun and unique settings in several little rivertowns along the Mississippi. In Alma, the kickoff event was held at Danzinger Vineyard; this Gala was a catered event from 6-9pm with film screenings, flyway personalities, and live music. The Big River Theatre hosted 9 films: Rain the Colour Blue with a little Red in it, Grain to Glass, Cinema of Urgency, Phantom Boy, The Nine, How to build a Time Machine, Bear With Us, June Falling Down, and Student Shorts. Movie-goers were able to partake in the unique expereince of being able to meet and discuss the films with the Directors and Screenwriters of several of these productions. The closing event at Big River Theatre was a musical performance by Brooks Williams!
